How does the Rear-Entry Viewpoint Mobility Van Modification compare to other types of modifications?
The rear-entry Viewpoint Van modification is a popular choice for many reasons. It is an ideal option for the entire family and offers the ability to travel spontaneously together. The rear-access van modification allows for ease of entry & seating next to ambulatory passengers, also known as ‘Family Seating'. The wheelchair passenger can remain in their wheelchair and also have a much better vantage point. Just like a regular van, the Viewpoint Mobility Van allows for hassle-free parking -- just about anywhere. Plus, it is safer than a side-access vehicle due to the the fact that the vehicle manufacturer's unibody design is not compromised and the fuel tank is relocated.

What types of vehicles do you modify?
We modify Honda, Toyota, GM, Dodge/Chrysler, Ford and VW minivans. Please refer to our vehicle Conversion Chart for eligible van models, production years, and options for each.
What Van Conversion Options are available through Viewpoint Mobility?
In general, contact us or your local dealer to discuss your needs. Seating options vary depending on the model of minivan. Narrow bucket seats are available to maximize the space between the seats allowing the wheelchair user to sit closer to the front of the van. Short floors, which retain mid-row seating are available on some models. Go to a quick overview of the available options for each model of minivan that we retro-fit.
What are the dimensions of the modification?
Each of our modifications is unique to the vehicle make. We encourage you to carefully review dimensions by vehicle make and model with your dealer to ensure the conversion is appropriate for your wheelchair requirements. We can also help you make the best decision for your situation. I am hesitant to purchase a vehicle sight unseen. How can I be sure I'll be happy with my purchase?
All Viewpoint Mobility vehicles come with a bumper-to-bumper warranty and a lifetime warranty on the rear-entry conversion. As well, we can proudly provide personal references from both the private and commercial sectors. (For more Warranty Information, please see below)
Will you modify my existing minivan?
Absolutely! Please note that not all minivans can be converted. We suggest that you refer to our Conversion Chart, for more information on which configurations are available for each model. Your vehicle will undergo a thorough inspection to ensure that it complies with our quality and safety standards. If it fails to meet the required North American safety standards, or has incurred any structural damage as a result of an accident, we cannot proceed with the conversion. Can I fit more than one wheelchair in my van?
Only select models can be supplied with a long floor to accommodate 2 wheelchairs. For more information, please speak with your Dealer.
How do I pay?
Your dealer will require you to submit a deposit prior to production. Upon the completion of the conversion, your Dealer will invoice you for the remaining balance. Wire-transfers and cashier’s cheques are acceptable forms of payment. Alternative arrangements can also be made upon request. Please speak with your Dealer regarding the payment options available.
Will I incur any extra costs?
The only extra cost you will incur is shipping. The cost of shipping will depend on your location in Canada and the number of vehicles that you purchase. Depending on the province, local sales taxes and/or registration fees may apply.
Do you offer financing?
We do not offer direct financing. Your dealer will be able to talk to you about financing and leasing options. Government funding assistance is available. You can contact us at 1-800-561-9600 to learn more.
Are there any tax benefits associated with converting a vehicle?
Tax benefits will vary depending on the region. Viewpoint Mobility provides all of the appropriate documentation to ensure that any applicable tax benefits are realized.
Can I lease my vehicle?
Please ask your Viewpoint Mobility Authorized Dealer about the financing and leasing options available.
How long will it take to convert my vehicle?
On average, vehicle conversions may take between 3-5 weeks to complete. Delivery times will vary depending on your location.
Are your vehicles Safety Crash-Tested?
Absolutely! All of our vehicles are fully crash-tested and successfully comply with current North American safety standards and regulations. Our certification and test program is undoubtedly the most extensive in our industry. To date, we have produced fully certified, rear-entry, lowered-floor wheelchair van modifications for more than 10 minivan models. What kind of Warranty do you offer?
Viewpoint Mobility offers one of the most complete warranties in the industry. The warranty period begins on the date of delivery from our manufacturing plant.
Retail Vehicles: Our warranty covers defects in the materials and factory workmanship for a period of seven (7) years on the metal fabricated frame structure, and three (3) years or 60,000 kilometers (whichever occurs first) on the remainder of the conversion parts and labour to replace them.
Inventory Vehicles: All Viewpoint Mobility Inventory vehicles receive a supplementary bumper-to-bumper 90-day/3,000 mile (5,000 km) warranty.
Commercial Vehicles: We cover defects in the materials and factory workmanship for a period of seven (7) years on metal fabricated frame structure, and three (3) years or 100,000 kilometers (whichever comes first) on the remainder of the conversion parts and labour to replace them.
